Dumești is a village forgotten by the world, located in Sălciua commune, Alba county, Transylvania.
Here it is a real delight to walk or relax, breathing fresh air and looking at the mountains.
I love places that make you realize how tiny you and your problems are
You can easily reach Dumești by car from Sălciua de Jos, on a single-lane road that climbs continuously and takes you closer to the clouds, in the place where nature is the main and only tourist attraction.
You can visit the Vănătarile Ponorului Waterfall here, on a short route, marked with a blue stripe, or you can go to Huda lui Papară, the longest cave in the Trascău mountains or to the Poarta Zmeilor Cave.
If you want to go to Dumești, try to arrive as early as possible in the morning so that you can enjoy the spectacle of nature in peace. By noon, the hills are filled with tourists who come here for picnics or hiking.
Dumești coordinates (latitude, longitude): 46.376292, 23.450172
Go see it till it’s there!
